Woodrow Kroll, host of Back to the Bible released his new book of the same name at CBA. His message is simple: there is an urgent need for biblical literacy in the world today. He identifies several factors responsible for declining readership: the general dumbing down of society, the removal of the Bible from our schools, pressures of the post-modern world, trends in Christian publications, church music and popular preaching.

The radio program can be heard daily on Sonshine 800 at 9:00am and 9:30pm.

Terry Crist in his new book, "The Image Maker," believes that one of the consequences of humanism has been to rid society of the presence of the Creator with the resulting denial of the existence of man in His image. The consequence is a 21st century identity crisis. Identity revelation, not behavior modification, is than answer. When we see our identity in Christ formed, we will walk in the fullness of God's power and our life will be transformed.

A Pilgrim came by to tell us about his Progress. Did you know that The Pilgrim's Progress is the second top selling book in history. That's right after the Bible. In this new adaption by Jim Pappas, The Amplified Pilgrim's Progress, Paul Bunyan's classic is destined to become a powerful new family home evening tradition! Check out the great cover! (Dorothy Wallis, host of "Making a Difference for Life" which airs on Sonshine 800 weekdays at 12:55pm interviewed Jim for one of her upcoming programs.)

Do you know who was the first woman to swim the English Channel? With women's sports exploding on scene, it's time to look at some of these great moments in history. In a follow-up to their first effort, Devotions from the World of Sports, Kathy and John Hillman (left in the picture above) have a new release, Devotion's from the World of Women's Sports. It's a daily devotional filled with insights for sports fans of all ages! Each devotion takes a look at an event in sports history and relates it to a basic Christian Truth. Featured athletes include Mia Hamm (right in the picture above), Nancy Lopez and Peggy Flemng with a forward by Nancy Liebermann-Cline, General Manager/Coach of the Detroit Shock.

Hail mixed with blood, raging fires, stinging locusts - is it the end? The Age of the Antichrist by Jonathan R. Cash is fictional drama based on the prophesies in the Bible. But is it also Revelation becoming Reality? Is it possible for one man to take control of the entire world? The Bible says that it is in our future! The book of Revelation calls him the ANTICHRIST. Will he appear in our lifetime? Jonathan Cash shows us too clearly how this can happen in the world we know today. Everyone needs to be prepared for "the spiritual hurricane lurking offshore."

Janet Folger was interviewed by Dorothy Wallis, host of "Making a Difference for Life," which airs on Sonshine 800 daily at 12:55pm. Janet's new book, True to Life, is the incredible story of a single young woman who spoke up for the unborn and found herself in the national spotlight. Not your typical Pro-Life advocate, Janet was fighting for and winning passage of the nation's first ban on partial-birth abortion. Now that the Supreme Court has spoken, we all need to be informed on this challenging issue.

We know her for her voice already, but Babbie Mason is an author too! Treasures of Heaven in the Stuff of Earth as the cover states contains "Colorful Stories of Ordinary People from Everyday Life Encountering an Extraordinary God in the Most Ordinary places". You'll find encouragement and hope in these real-life stories (many from Babbie's own life) that God is there for everyone and involved in all aspects of our everday life. You'll no longer go to the grocery store, attend a little league game or converse with an airliner without feeling God's presence and knowing that he has a purpose for each one of us. This book will "put a smile on your face and a touch of heaven in your day!" He's there, you just have to look!

Cowboy books from a real cowboy! You can't get more authenic than that! Stephen Bly has done just about everything. He's a cowboy (still practising the 3 "r's" - ropin', ridin' and rodeo), a pastor and the newly elected mayor of Winchester, Idaho - plus the author of over 60 books! His newest release, "Fool's Gold" is the first in a three book series, "The Skinners of Goldfield." Based on the scriptural theme of I Cor. 1:26,27, it's the story of a simple family with a simple faith and their impact on a society that is unashamedly pursuing wealth and pleasure.

A Setback is a Setup for a Comeback is the newest book by bestelling author Willie Jolley. In this follow-up to It Only takes a Minute to Change Your life, Jolley tells you how to come back from the challenges life throws your way. Learn how Vanessa Williams, Famous Amos, Les Brown, Tina Turner, Lee Iacocca and many others turned their setbacks into incredible comebacks. Let Willie show you how to turn trials into triumphs, problems into possibilities, setbacks into comebacks. This is an inspiring faith based success guide for a new generation.

Barbara Horton Jones is a psychologist with a special interest in integrating Christian spirituality with psychology. In her practise she has seen patients struggling to become full persons. Empowered by Mary: Affirming full Personhood in the New Millennium examines Mary in a modern context. Jones sees Mary as a shining example of full personhood. She presents her as the archetype of the one who says "yes" to God and assents to having God direct her life. She is a strong healthy role model for contemporary women and in her relationship with her husband, Joseph, is a model of how men and women can relate in ways that honor themselves and God. This is a bold, fresh approach!

(Tuesday is still under Construction - thanks for your patience, just 4 more great books to go! Keep checking - this year's "reading list" will soon be complete!)
